This Fall I had the honor of being the school photographer for 2 local preschools in San Francisco. I had so much fun with these kids!! When each child sat down and I started talking with them, I quickly snapped 15 – 20 shots of each child so I would improve my odds of getting a great shot for their parents’ photo order. There was different pressure than my spontaneous and fluid private photo sessions—a school photo should feel official, and they should be looking at the camera, right?
In the process, I captured some fantastic “blooper” shots….not the one to send to the printer for their official school photo of 2009, but, much too fabulous in non-traditional ways to just DELETE! I love the honesty! Some were downright annoyed or angry with me. Some reacted to my ridiculous stuffed animal props (yes, I brought some with me!) with quizzical looks…and some just decided to ham it up. Nonetheless, some of these are my absolute favorites! So I present to you my 2009 preschool photo outtakes!
