Eight is enough.

Did you see Obama’s acceptance speech last night?  WOW. In case you missed it, Barack Obama made history last night on the 45th anniversary of MLK’s I have a dream speech, speaking on the final night of the Democratic National Convention to accept his presidential nomination. He was brilliant—humble, direct, decisive and visionary. I wish I had been in Denver at the convention to hear it live. I really love this man.  I am so inspired by his intelligence and passion.  Thank you, Barack Obama!  You are a gift.  Very exciting times for the United States!

Kate

I was enchanted by Kate right when I met her….probably because she’s a dead ringer for my precious niece, Reese.  What an angel!  We had so much fun capturing her and her family on a sunny Sunday afternoon in their very large backyard outside of Seattle….(more pics of her family to follow…). At first she was serious…but then she did not want to slow down. Not once.  She just wanted to be chased.  And tackled and tickled….

Ryan

This bubbly little guy was such a joy.  Eager for the next adventure, he would not stop smiling! There are lots of children I haven’t had a chance to blog yet and Ryan is one of them….we captured these last year in his bedroom, and then in Central Park on a glistening morning.  Can’t wait to see you again sometime, little prince!

Smiley Riley

Riley is is a proud big sis to her new baby brother Flynn.  I photographed this little angel for the first time a few years ago when she was just a few months older than Flynn in Brooklyn’s Prospect Park….this time we were at the Rose Garden adjacent to the zoo in Seattle.  It was so nice to spend the morning with you, Riley!

Skye Bird

Skye’s parents have been dear friends of mine since we met in Boulder, Colorado back in 1994.  I love to visit them when I’m in Seattle!  I had so much fun there last weekend.  Skye Bird is their nickname for their daughter Skye.  It’s very difficult to take a bad picture of Skye. Yes, her skin is really that milky smooth and her hair is really that magically soft. I didn’t even enhance her eyes or lips in these photos below?!  And yes, she’s very spunky and full of life! What a treat it is to point my camera at Skye Bird!

Brothers

These little brothers are only a year apart and their energy is infectious!  It’s all about peek-a-boo, music and giggles for them.  They’ve got a little red ukelele that comes in handy for strummin and singing!  I first photographed them a year ago when they were sweet and cherubic….now they’re brimming with curiosity and expressions.  We got to capture some fun shots in their backyard right after nap time.   Here’s some of my favorites:

Little Tim

I met precious little Tim a few months ago in NYC.  His face was bursting with joy when his daddy, (also Tim), held him high in the air, for one of his very first “airplane” rides ever….vroooooom!  It must be pretty fun to soar amongst the trees in Central Park!  See you soon!  I look forward to our next photo session in a few weeks!
