Little Nika

This is little Nika. She’s adorable and squeezable and curious and so loved.  I met her and her extended family at their beautiful home in Menlo Park recently to capture the amazing infant stage.

Eli’s bar mitzvah

I got to photograph my first Bar Mitzvah in Hillsborough a couple of weeks ago.  Eli had a wonderful party, and he was so poised and impressive in his presentation.  Wow. What a wonderful day to honor such an amazing milestone in a young man’s life.  Everyone had a blast.  There were lots of adults in attendance, but as you know, I like to photograph kids…I’m always drawn to their expressions!  Here’s some of my favorites…

Rebelmom.com

Recently I was featured on Thara Pillai’s mommy blog Rebelmom.com: http://www.rebelmom.com/2010/02/19/capturing-your-little-one-on-camera/ .  It’s a great resource and blog for mommy inspiration.  In the feature I reveal my tips and tricks of taking great photos of your infant, toddler or child.  I also do this spiel in classes at Day One centers in Palo Alto, San Francisco and Walnut Creek.  I love to talk to moms about improving their photography.  It’s an important job to document the early years of our offspring!  Getting great photos of little ones is often tedious and frustrating to capture.  Antsy or defiant toddlers don’t make it very easy.  Use these tips and watch your photographs improve dramatically…..

Sweet Grant

Sweet Grant just turned 1 and we marked the occasion with some photos with mom and dad. He’s giddy and cuddly and just figuring out his mobility as he waddles down the sidewalk. What a pleasure to get to capture him!

Miriam and Sasja

Miriam LOVES to have her picture taken. She’s a dream subject for me because she has big expressive eyes that I can’t get enough of! Miriam recently welcomed her sweet sweet baby brother Sasja.  He was very fussy the first day I visited—so I returned a few weeks later to capture some more of him.  His digestive troubles had subsided the 2nd time and I got to see his wonderful calm face and hypnotic gaze! What a treat.

Nate, Jack and Alexa

Oh my gosh these handsome little boys are so thrilled to welcome their new baby sister.  They adore her and she just gazes at them with her big eyes.  What fun the 3 of them have ahead of them!  I was honored to visit their San Francisco home last month.  Can’t wait to see them again sometime!

Christopher and Kate

Christopher is brand new…like 48 hrs old in these photos!  I met his big sis Kate and their parents at their house shortly after they arrived home from the hospital.  What a special treat to capture the love and elation in their house.  Everyone was glowing!  Aaaah. Lucky little Christopher :)
